Digital PR and Digital Marketing

Digital PR is a digital marketing strategy that focuses on building relationships with editorial teams of news publications, journalists, and influencers to increase the visibility and credibility of a brand. It involves creating and promoting content, such as news stories, media pitches, and thought leadership articles, to earn coverage in reputable publications. 

Digital PR is different from other digital marketing tools, such as SEO, PPC advertising, social media marketing, email marketing, and content marketing, in that it specifically focuses on building relationships and earning coverage in third-party (Tier 1) publications. While these other tools can be effective in driving traffic and conversions, they do not necessarily build credibility and trust with the target audience in the same way that digital PR does.

Digital PR can be an effective complement to these other digital marketing tools, as it can help improve a brand’s search engine rankings, reach a larger audience, and increase engagement. It is particularly useful for building mass brand awareness, credibility, and trust, as it helps a brand establish itself as an authority in its industry and reach a more engaged audience through third-party endorsements.
